Usher, Drake And Nicki Minaj To Play New York’s Summer Jam

New York radio station Hot 97 announced the lineup for the annual mega show Summer Jam on Monday afternoon (May 3). The event takes place June 6 at the New Meadowlands Stadium in New Jersey, with Usher headlining a lineup that includes Drake, Nicki Minaj, DJ Khaled and Ludacris.

Trey Songz, Juelz Santana, Fabolous and Reflection Eternal fill out the roster, with Gucci Mane — who is due to be released from jail soon — rounding out the bill.

For headliner Usher, the top spot at the show is another feather in his cap for what is proving to be a strong year, which has already included a #1 album.

“This album means so much to my career,” Usher recently said told MTV News about Raymond v. Raymond. “I think this is the one time where I’m able to put it all in, emotionally and the good times — super-freaky and then also super-emotional. Raymond v. Raymond, artistically, is one of my greatest pieces of work, not only just because of the content, but also the people whom I got involved in it: T.I., Will.I.Am, Puff, Nicki Minaj.”

The album also features “She Don’t Know,” a track with Ludacris, who collaborated on one of Usher’s biggest hits, 2004′s “Yeah!” And the video for the Will.I.Am collaboration “OMG” recently hit the Internet. The clip is all performance as Usher brings his dance moves to the forefront. “A lot of people may have felt like I lost my swagger,” Usher said. “Let me tell you something: I play long-balls, so now we back. This one is it: Raymond v. Raymond!”

As always, you can expect some of the performers to bring out surprise guests — it’s a Summer Jam tradition. Some of the biggest names in the game have come out unadvertised for the concert. Just last year, Jay-Z set off his Blueprint 3 campaign by performing “D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)” as a special guest of Young Jeezy’s.

In 2001, it was Jay-Z pulling a trump card, bringing out Michael Jackson.

What surprise guests do you want to see pop up at Summer Jam? Is anyone missing from the lineup? Let us know in the comments below!

Drake – “Find Your Love” Music Video Produced By Kanye West

Drake‘s long-awaited collaboration with Kanye West finally hit the Internet early Thursday morning (April 29). The pulsating “Find Your Love” was released on the Toronto MC’s Web site (though it has since been taken down due to bandwidth issues).

The track was produced by West and features Drake in full crooner mode as he sings about saving his relationship.

“I’m more than just an option,” he sings over sparse drums and piano licks. “Refuse to be forgotten/ I took a chance with my heart/ And I feel it taking over / I better find your loving/ I better find your heart.”

“Find Your Love” is Drake’s second official single from his debut album Thank Me Later, due June 15. Lead selection “Over” came out in March; “Shut It Down,” featuring The-Dream, leaked soon after; and he’s been performing another song, “Fireworks,” on his Away From Home Tour.

The rapper was in Jamaica recently to film the video for “Find Your Love.” The track is Drake’s third collaboration with West, who direct the “Best I Ever Had” video and joined Drake, Lil Wayne and Eminem on “Forever.”

Last year Drake told MTV News that the 808s & Heartbreak superstar was “the most influential person on his sound.”

“Before I ever got the chance to meet him, Kanye West shaped a lot of what I do, as far as music goes,” Drake said. “We always, always, always took the time to listen to Kanye’s music and appreciate it beyond. We searched the samples and find out where his inspiration came from, because he has one of the best ears in music, period. He knows how to recognize great music that’s not his. He knows how to utilize great sounds and great music. So before I met him, I had the utmost respect for Kanye West. I’d even go as far as to say he’s the most influential person, as far as a musician, that I’d ever had in my life.”

What do you think of Drake’s new song? Let us know in the comments
